In-Person Program
The Wisdom Bodywork Program, developed and presented by Master Somatic Coach Madeline Wade, covers:
- Somatic placements for release and opening of your client’s body
- Beginning understanding of how we are shaped -body and self- and what that represents
- Practices to pass on to clients for support in reshaping self
- Questions to help open the client in going deeper into sensation and learning their core contraction and condition tendency
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This is a foundational course in working through the body to affect the self. Through lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice, you will learn:
- How bodies are shaped and how you can assist your client in bringing greater dimension to their body and their life.
- Somatic practices to touch the client in a way that creates new shaping to allow greater choice and curiosity.
- How to read the shapes of bodies and what they represent about the self.
- How to build acute observer skills to truly listen to your client
- How to approach the practice with a presence, care and understanding that creates a safe place for the client to reshape
- Practices that offer the client an opportunity through sound, scents, images, and stories to connect more deeply to the experience on the table, so that they can bring back the sensation when needed.
PROGRAM FORMAT
This program spans three full days that include lectures, demonstrations and practical application.
1 – Lecture to understand what somatic bodywork and personal practices is for understanding and beginning of somatic placement work
2 – Table work focusing on somatic placements and what the placement does for the client, and how as a practitioner you begin to hold the client.
3 – Table work continuing somatic placement work and practice sessions
